Lauren Chuslo-Shur has been living and creating on the Seacoast of New Hampshire for 25 years.
Her work is a culmination of the skills and perspective she's gained over those years, working as a journalist, graphic designer and teacher. Now she combines photographs of what is often considered everyday objects and turns them into unique and eye-catching photographic illustrations.
"I do, of course, look at composition, color, perspective and the other artistic considerations," she says. "But for me, the determining factor in my work is that the piece elicit an emotional response: Do you smile, or wonder? Do you go back in time? Are you inspired in some way? If the answer is yes, I've succeeded." |
